Heritage Point

On a site overlooking the Pine Creek Valley south of Calgary, Ekistics completed the overall site planning and detailed design of a prestigious golf course community for Thronmark Capital Corporation. The concept sensitively integrates a 27-hole championship golf course around and within a series of exclusive residential enclaves.

Responding to the country-like character of the area, pubic realm design and architectural control guidelines were developed. On behalf of the municipal planning authority, Ekistics prepared the Area Structure Plan which established the planning framework for the development.

Upon completion of the first phase of the community, the Heritage Pointe golf course was ranked one the top three in the Province of Alberta and listed as one of the Top 30 Public Courses in Canada by the Globe and Mail.
